Tim Martin

timmartin

Tim Martin’s career began at just 16 years old, playing every Friday and Saturday night at the Olde Tinker Mill Inn. This unique venue featured a formal dining room upstairs and a lively pizza-and-beer hangout downstairs, offering Tim a diverse audience to hone his craft. Starting with $15 a night and free pizza, he built his repertoire with songs by James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, CSN&Y, and the Eagles, along with original compositions. This early experience taught him how to connect with audiences and adapt his performances to different settings—a skill that became the foundation of his career.

Now, 42 years later, Tim is still captivating audiences across Southwest Virginia and beyond. His performances span clubs, resorts, festivals, private functions, and iconic venues such as The Hotel Roanoke, Wintergreen Resort, and The Homestead. Locally, he’s a regular at popular spots like The Quarter, Awful Arthur’s, and Annie Moore’s Tavern. Tim has also shared stages with legends like Savoy Brown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Jonathan Edwards.
